Will our backup software on our server require me to install the "SQL Add-On" module in order to get a good backup of the EventSentry Server database?
What backup software are you using? Also, are using the built-in PostgreSQL database or a MS SQL Server database with EventSentry? In most cases it's not necessary to install an Add-On if you utilize the backup mechanism that is included with the database server.
For MS SQL, try using SQL Backup Master.
Simple to use, and writes to the event log,
And its free for single backup instances.
